Here is all the latest on the Marvel, DC and X-Men cinematic universes, plus the TMNT franchise, to satisfy your hunger for superhero movie news:

Mr. Sinister is probably the villain in Wolverine 3!

Officially, actors Boyd Holbrook and Richard E. Grant are playing bad guys in the next Wolverine movie, but their roles are so far pretty vague. It's possible that one of them is really going to be Mr. Sinister, given this deduction by /Film based on the X-Men: Apocalypse end-credits scene (SPOILERS):

"We see a besuited man walking through the remains of the Weapon X clean-up programme [sic], removing the blood, bodies and bullets. And retrieving vials of Wolverine’s blood labelled [sic] Weapon X. And placing them into his briefcase which contains other vials of differing colours. Slamming shut, it is labelled [sic] ESSEX CORP."

“Essex” would seem to refer to Nathaniel Essex, aka Mister Sinister, a 19th-century scientist very interested in genetics and mutation but not very interested in moral or ethical standards. In the comics, Apocalypse gives Essex with superpowers like telepathy, telekinesis and longevity (and leaves him looking like a fancy ghost with a Troll gem in his head).

Jennifer Lawrence is probably done with X-Men

Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence has been wishy-washy on whether she'll keep playing Mystique in the X-Men movies, and the latest word from the actress is more uncertainty, but it doesn't sound likely she'll be back. Here's what she told Entertainment Weekly:

“Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking,” she says, “Like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back, if you come back.’ Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are.”

The actress is quite honest about how much she dislikes the blue body paint required for Mystique (“You go in and you realize you’re rock bottom and like this sucks and it could not suck more”) and in the years since 2011’s X-Men: First Class, she’s grown into arguably the most in-demand young actress in Hollywood.

“I would love to come back,” says Lawrence. “I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don’t know. I shouldn’t be that honest.”
