2016 has been a great year if you happen to get really into imagining rivalries between movies that are about similar topics. You've got The BFG and A Monster Calls, dueling movies about kids escaping the harsh reality of their real world by inventing giant friends. Come to think of it, Pete's Dragon could also fit in that mix. You've got huge movies about iconic superheroes battling each other in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War, and even X-Men: Apocalypse.

These rivalries aren't exclusive to Hollywood, either. They happen in the indie world, too. In January we got the release of Moonwalkers, a comedy about bumbling idiots who try to help the CIA fake the Moon landing. In September we'll get Operation Avalanche, a thriller about CIA agents who infiltrate NASA in search of a supposed Russian spy and end up finding themselves right in the middle of a conspiracy to fake the Moon landing.

Operation Avalanche has been getting pretty great reviews since its premiere at Sundance earlier this year, and now you can get a taste of what people are buzzing about thanks to the first trailer. Check it out.

Operation Avalanche will be released on September 16, 2016.
