This year's two big superhero movies have a lot in common. Both have heroes versus heroes. Both are highly anticipated by their respective camps of fans. And both are offering a little extra after they're over. For Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it's the already much talked-about R-rated cut arriving later, with the home video release. For Captain America: Civil War, it's the latest obligatory post-credits sequence. Find out about both below.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

We've heard about some of the content of Zack Snyder's R-rated director's cut, including Jena Malone's character and some extra cameos and Easter eggs. Now we hear, via an interview with the Hollywood Reporter with the Batman v Superman director and his wife and producing partner Deborah Snyder, that it's going to be 30 minutes longer, meaning three hours. Also, Zack Snyder had this to say about the cut:

"Some of that additional material is some of the stuff we took out for the rating. I was like, "Cool, I can put it back in for the director's cut." There was nothing by design. This was the material I just put back in, and then when [the MPAA] looked at it again, they were like, "Oh, now the movie's rated R." And, by the way, it's not a hard R. There's no nudity. There's a little bit of violence. It just tips the scale."

Captain America: Civil War

In a lengthy interview with Forbes, Anthony and Joe Russo talk a lot about not just the upcoming Captain America sequel but the Marvel Cinematic Universe in general, including how the Infinity War movies will be the end of the franchise as we currently know it. Regarding the latest film at hand, though, they acknowledge that it will indeed have that thing we expect from all MCU releases, a post-credits stinger. No details on what they'll entail, but here's Joe on the confirmation:

"We can’t say who is going to be in it but we can say that there certainly could be one, or two, maybe three. We can confirm that you should stay sat in your seats when the movie is done."

You know we will. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters in just over a week, on March 25. Captain America: Civil War follows a little over a month later, on May 6.
