We’re happy to report that Mandy Moore is getting along just fine since her divorce from singer Ryan Adams.
“I’m strong,” the actress told me last night at the HFA Grants Gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. “I feel great. Life is hard, man, but you know it’s all part of it and you just take that stuff and you know you use it as fuel and pour it into your work and try to make sense of all of it.”
Moore and Adams split in January 2015. Their divorce was finalized about two months ago.
“You put one foot in front of the other,” Moore said. “Life happens.”
Ain’t that the truth.
Moore will be seen in the NBC’s upcoming buzzed about television series This Is Us opposite Milo Ventimiglia.
The series begins with Moore pregnant with triplets. Her 35-pound fake baby bump was enormous. “It was fun but the boobs were actually the weirder part,” said Moore, who looked gorgeous last night in a pink 2nd Skin Co. dress. “It was just this big bra and I had to keep pushing the boobs down because I felt like they were riding up to my chin.”
She never wore the prosthetic belly and boobs off set, but “I took lots of pictures because I was like this is a television triplet pregnancy,” Moore said. “I think my belly would have been much bigger had I really been pregnant with triplets.”
(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
