Greyson Chance performs at Menara Star
It was the chance of a lifetime for The Star readers to get up close and personal with American singer Greyson Chance.
In conjunction with the Star Media Group’s 45th anniversary celebrations, the 17-year-old performed a showcase at Cybertorium, Menara Star, today.
Fans screamed and cheered for Greyson as he took the stage around 3pm, singing Back On The Wall and More Than Me off his latest EP Somewhere Over My Head. Accompanied by a keyboard, Greyson immediately won over the crowd over with his strong vocals and heartfelt delivery.
He also took questions from fans during a Q&A session. The affable Greyson spread his arms wide when asked how much he loved Kuala Lumpur. He also shared that some of his musical inspirations today are Beck and Sam Smith. Asked what he is most looking forward to experiencing in Penang (where he will be performing tomorrow night), Greyson responded: “Everybody has told me that Penang is this crazy food town. I thought KL is a crazy food town. I’m excited, I’m going to eat as much as I can.”
Chance, who is best known for his single Waiting Outside The Lines, first came into the spotlight back in 2010 when his rendition of Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi went viral.
